Easy to Make Wood Home Signs

Collecting the Material Required

Craft and home centers provide the necessary materials for making wood home signs. Wood plaques in different shapes and sizes, numbers, alphabets, glue, varnish can be bought here. Wood cutting is not required to be done.

• Select a wood plaque with the adequate dimensions and shape.
• Select the numbers and alphabets required to be put up on the wood plaque. The size should be such that it can fit within the wood plaque you have chosen. Typically, these wooden letters are 1/4" thick, thus giving a nice 3D effect. Other materials available for making alphabets are plastic, aluminum and brass.
• Selecting the glue to stick the letters on your wood home signs becomes important since your wood home signs need to tolerate the exterior environments. Hence the glue should be capable of holding together the wood home signs in all weather conditions. It should preferably dry sooner to avoid the work from getting messy.
